The Arkansas Winds Community Concert Band is a non-profit, tax-exempt, all-volunteer organization dedicated to providing concerts to the Northwest Arkansas community and to providing a place for musicians to enhance their musical skills.

March Concerts

Come hear the Arkansas Winds bid farewell to winter as we perform two Winter Finale concerts with friends.

On Saturday March 10 the Winds will be joined by the Ozark Mountains British Brass Band at Central United Methodist Church on Dickson Street in Fayetteville. On Monday March 12 the Winds will perform with the Farmington High School Concert Band in the Randall G Lynch Middle School gymnasium.

Both concerts begin at 7pm. The Saturday concert is free; the Monday concert has a nominal admission charge of $2 for adults, with all proceeds supporting the Farmington High School Band.

Arkansas Winds 2011-2012 Season Photo

Christmas Concert

The Arkansas Winds will perform their Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 11 at 3pm at the Arts Center of the Ozarks. Admission is free and all are welcome to join us as we make music for the holidays.

Arkansas Winds Barnes and Noble BookFair

Ensembles from the Arkansas Winds will be performing Sunday December 4th at the Fayetteville Barnes and Noble book store. Barnes and Noble will donate a percentage of the sales made where patrons present a voucher. Come enjoy live music, buy books for yourself, gifts for your fiends and support the Band. Copies of vouchers are available below, and can also be picked up from Band members in the store.

Our Bookfair id is #10615904 and that number can also be used online during checkout at barnesandnoble.com from December 4th through December 9th. The Winds will receive a percentage of any net sales based on that id number during that time period.


 

Reminder: No Rehearsal October 31st

There is no rehearsal on Halloween - Monday October 31st.

2011-2012 Season

The Winds will begin preparing for the 2011-2012 season soon with our first rehearsal on Monday October 24 at 7:00pm in the Farmington High School band room. New member are welcome. Directions and other information can be found on our Rehearsal page. A preliminary concert schedule is also posted on our Concerts page.

Summer Concerts

The Winds will be performing three concerts in the coming weeks as we close out the 2010/2011 season. All concerts are free.

Red White and Blooms at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks

Bring your lawn chairs, a picnic basket, and invite some friends to enjoy an evening of music and blooms as the Arkansas Winds play on the lawn of the beautiful Botanical Garden of the Ozarks at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 29 (rain date June 30). The Botanical Garden of the Ozarks is located at 4703 Crossover Road (Route 265) near Lake Fayetteville.

Independence Day at Orchard Park

On the 4th of July the Winds will play an outdoor concert of patriotic tunes at Orchard Park in Bentonville just before the big fireworks show! The concert begins at 8:30 pm. Fireworks at dark (around 9:45).

University of Arkansas Jr. High Band Camp

The public is invited as we play a fun concert for summer band campers at the Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville. Public seating in the balcony. The concert is at 7:00 pm on July 10.
