The Winds will not be rehearsing the evening of Monday May 11th.

The Arkansas Winds will perform the concert "Celebrate Arkansas" as we present music composed or transcribed by residents of the Natural State. The concert will be performed on Saturday, April 25th, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. at the Arts Center of the Ozarks, 214 S. Main Street, Springdale, Arkansas. The admission is $10.00 and tickets may be purchased by calling 479-751-5441 or accessing this link.

Due to the weather on Saturday, the Arkansas Winds concert has been rescheduled. Admission is free and the public is invited.

The Arkansas Winds will perform their first concert of 2015, “Hi-Fi Sci-Fi”, in the brand new Farmington Performing Arts Center, Sunday, March 8th , 2015 at 7:00p.m. The concert will consist of science fiction and video game themes and will feature "Godzilla Eats Las Vegas" as Eric Whitaker musically creates a Godzilla rampage through Sin City.

The address of the Farmington Performing Arts Center is 12329 N Highway 170, Farmington, AR. From Highway 62 turn south onto Southwinds Drive, between Sonic and the gas station. Continue south on Southwinds Drive and turn right (west) onto Highway 170. The Performing Arts Center will be on the right side of the road.

It appears Mother Nature will not cooperate with us this year as the forecast calls for more snow, ice this afternoon, and freezing drizzle tonight. In the interest of safety, tonight’s concert “Hi-Fi Sci-Fi” has been cancelled. We will attempt to reschedule for Sunday, March 8th at 3:00 p.m. and will send out additional information when that date and location is confirmed. There are enough people who can make a rehearsal on Thursday, so we will reschedule the rehearsal we missed on Monday. The rehearsal will be on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Farmington Performing Arts Center. You can send email to info@arkansaswinds.org for more information.

The facility is available on Thursday evening at 7:00 and we would like to get a feel for how many people could make a rehearsal at that time. It should only take a few seconds to answer the survey, it has two questions. Yes or no if you can make it on Thursday and what is your instrument.

The roads appear to be clear around Fayetteville, however, the temperature will remain below freezing. With the melting during the day, it could freeze over by the time rehearsal is over, so we are cancelling rehearsal for this evening. Mike feels comfortable about our preparation, and the main thing we need to work on is timing between the slideshow for Godzilla. Please continue to prepare on your own to be ready. Also, make every effort to be on time or early next week. Even if we get started on time, we’ll need to plan to stay later than normal.
