Friends of the Winds

The Farmington Cardinals Band The Winds are thankful to Jim Spillars, Farmington Band Director, the Farmington High School Leadership and Farmington (AR) School Board for providing the Arkansas Winds with a rehearsal and performance site at the Farmington High School Performing Arts Center.
The Ozark Mountiains British Brass Band is a British-style band that performs in Northwest Arkansas. A number of musicians with the Winds also perform with the OMBBB. In 2012 the Winds and the OMBBB shared the stage for a spring concert.
The Bella Vista Community Concert Band The first rehearsal of the Bentonville-Bella Vista Community Band, as it was originally called, was at Bentonville High School in 1985. Since 1989 rehearsals have been held at Community Church in Bella Vista, with free concert performances given at Blowing Springs Park throughout the summer months. The nucleus of the band is made up of retired persons, with members coming from many communities in NW Arkansas as well as Missouri.
Jeremy Doss is a composer who lives and works in Northwest Arkansas. The Winds commissioned Jeremy to compose Arkansas Journey
for our 25th anniversary concert.
Association of Concert Bands The mission of the Association of Concert Bands is to foster excellence in Concert Band music through performance, education, and advocacy. The members include concert community bands, band directors, individual members, and Corporate members. Visit their website to find out more about ACB.
